Event Information

The Regional Council for Planning is a subsidiary body of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and governs the activities of the Latin American and Caribbean Institute for Economic and Social Planning (ILPES). The member States of the Institute are represented at the meetings of the Council by their ministers or heads of planning. The agreements of the Council are set forth in resolutions, which are ratified by ECLAC at its biennial sessions.

At its seventeenth meeting, held in Montevideo on 29 and 30 August 2019, the Regional Council for Planning elected the following Presiding Officers

Chair: Uruguay
Members:  Argentina, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Panamá and Paraguay
Host country:   Chile

the eighteenth meeting of the Regional Council for Planning, which will be held in virtual format given the context of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, will be held from 19-21 October 2021
